10 Entrepreneur Lessons I’ve Learnt in 2017

  1. I’m new in Entrepreneurship but from these experiences, I learned that doing something you are passionate about is a bonus because you will see the result either it is a success or a failure. But it is okay, because we control our actions, control our marketing strategy and client acquisition. We are the one to ensure our own success.
  2. I always thought that working in corporate for years will make me good at business. The answer is NO! No teacher in school ever taught me how to be my own boss, no workplace ever taught me that either. At this point of time, I’m still improving my time management skill and reminding myself to focus on my strengths and hire for my weaknesses.
  3. I keep learning from the best by finding a mentor who has already been at the top of the mountain and willing to coach/mentor me on my journey.
  4. I learned that a successful venture requires 100{17c0c7c8a24a6e48bfe42b0bbfddcb5c572fb0da1c5859adba1973bf3b84029b} attention, focus, and effort.
  5. Another expensive lesson I’ve learned — the best-laid plans don’t always work out as you’d expect. Changes due to economy, environment etc is a real test in how adaptable we are when things don’t go the way we planned. One good sentence – DON’T GIVE UP!
  6. Closing a sales deal is the biggest challenge all entrepreneurs face when we deploy own product or services.  What works for us might not work for everyone, but we started this business focusing on INTEGRITY and would maintain it that way.
  7. Collaboration is the new key to entrepreneurship. Partnership with people who have totally opposite skills that complement my own and whom I trust completely make the difference between big and small success, or between success and failure. What I have achieved this year would not have been possible without my numerous trustworthy partners and friends.
  8. Focus on what we do best. Leverage our strength with the strengths of partnerships all around us and BELIEVE in ourselves, we can do wonders when we start believing.
  9. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is “START NOW”. Almost every decision I’ve made led to something awesome would have been way more awesome had I simply decided to start sooner.
  10. My final lesson as to date is that failing is okay when you are aiming big. This is not an easy dream, but I’m a woman with vision, knowledge and strength. If others can do it, so do I. I’m not sure how many times I’m going to fail but I would grow old and say that “I’ve tried it all” 🙂
